The key to successfully eliminating bacterial vaginosis involves a diet designed to cure it. The body cannot endure an imbalance. When your immune system is weakened, your body becomes unbalanced and allows bad bacteria to thrive. Creating a diet that allows your immune system to heal and return to normal will kill bacterial vaginosis and quickly return your body to normal functioning.

Try detoxifying your body for a weekend. When you eliminate certain foods from your diet, your body begins to eliminate the toxins and the bacteria die. This is because the bacteria now have nothing to feed on. The only downside to a quick elimination or detox is the initial mood swings and loss of energy.

So what do you decide to eliminate from your diet? Well, everyone has to listen to their body to know how it’s reacting. Some people tolerate certain ingredients better than others. You have to balance what’s right for you and whether to slowly eliminate certain foods or go cold turkey and just give it up.

Sugar is not our friend! Bacterial vaginosis likes a good sugary meal and could live on sugar all year round. Stop eating sugar and see how fast the party is over. When you eat sugar, it enters your bloodstream and is metabolized. It basically suppresses your immune system by consuming other nutrients you need to metabolize it faster.

You can rest assured that the bacteria will feed on that sugar while they multiply and make you feel worse.

The main foods to avoid are

o syrups

o Refined carbohydrates

o Canned fruit

o And the sugary breakfast cereals

Sugar cravings from withdrawal will cause some of us to run away from an elimination diet and fall right back into the arms of our sugary substances. If this is the case for you, try cutting back on these foods in moderation until your body gets used to living without them.

Also, remember that drastic changes in your diet will cause changes in your body, including fatigue, headaches, and even dry mouth. Drink plenty of fluids, preferably water, to cleanse your body and eliminate toxins. Your bacterial vaginosis will be eliminated before you know it.
